I work out of a small studio in Lagos, building paintings from ash, oil, and scraped linen. Most pieces start as a single colour and get pulled apart over several weeks.
Before painting full time I trained as a bookbinder, which is where the obsession with edges and layered surfaces came from. Work has shown in Lagos, Accra, and London.
